My husband and I bought a VW Passat from Triple Crown Auto Sales, and it has been a nightmare since week 1. First the battery died and was arcing about a month after buying the car. A few months later the fuel pump went out on the car in the middle of a busy street at rush hour. The CV axle needed replacement at the same time due to extreme safety issues. The brakes were in need of replacement, and upon taking it to a well known chain, we were told our car did not meet CA vehicle code for safety and all brakes, rotors, calipers, and such needed replacement. The previous owners or Triple Crown, put the wrong sized pads on the vehicle and welded them on in order to avoid replacing the rotors, which were composite and unable to be resurfaced. Rather than performing a full vehicle inspection and making the car up to code, they sold it "as is."

The car prior to this which we purchased from them, which was fairly new, had a transmission issue nearly from the start. About a year after owning the car, the transmission died completely; stranding my newborn and myself on a busy street, yet again. Every car I or family members have purchased from them seems to be cursed from the start. They have a strict "as is" policy and refuse to work with you regardless of length of ownership. No more cars from them!!! Ever!!! Public transportation is more reliable. Their sales people are hopeless!
