Hyundai
Motor Corporation ripoff Returning from Iraq Wa

Cars & Transport

I'm a two time war veteran (Desert Storm/Operation Iraqi Freedom) and recently return from Iraq to find out that my Hyundai Elantra front bumper paint was peeling off badly. When I looked in my warrant manual to see if I was still cover for my paint job I notice that I was covered for 36 months/36,000 miles.

I called Hyundai Corps in the states because I'm currently stationed overseas in Germany and have been for the last 3 years, they told me to take it to a local dealer over here. Well the German nationals said they don't cover the warrant and won't re-paint my bumper.

I called Hyundai back and they told me there's nothing they can do about it' my problem is that my warrant runs out in June which is next month and I'm do to relocated to California for my next duty assignment but my car won't arrive until July and the warrant will be expired. I took my vehicle to a well known body shop here in Germany and the supervisor there told me that the paint was peeling due to a bad paint job and it would cost me 400-450 Euro's ($400-$500) to re-paint it. I just fought for my country again proudly and to come back and have to deal with this is not acceptable! I help protect this country so we won't have to get treated unfairly and have to deal with issue like this, please help if you can. Thank You
