Car Max Sold Me a Lemon and knew it

I bought a 01 Cadillac DeVille that was in the Car Max show room. The car was supposed to have gone thru their service department to make sure it was a great car to buy.

The first thing I noticed was that there were gouges in the side walls of the rear tires, this car was in their show room, how was this overlooked as the tires were Armor-Alled? The tires were replaced with new tires before we took delivery.

In the first week we noticed a smell of burning crayons and the car was sent to the service department where the air intake module was found to be faulty and had to be replaced. Good thing we purchased the extended warrenty because over a period of 24 months the car was in their repair shop over 18 times and stayed there for a minimum of 2 weeks to a maximum of 3 months.

For the first 2 years they had the car in the shop more than we were driving it. There is hardly any original parts left on the car, it seems that everything was replaced including the engine". The engine was replaced with a used engine because every gasket was replaced twice and the engine was still loosing oil.in adding up all the costs of the repairs that were done to the car, we could have paid the car off 1.5 times over.

Since the extended warrenty has expired the transmission is now failing, the window regulators on 3 doors have failed and the engine stalls when taking corners/. I have contacted Car Max but they said there is nothing they can do and its just our tough luck. I dont understand how they can sell cars that are shown to be defective and lemons, I mean come-on, it was in their shop over 18 times for repairs to the electrical system, engine replacement, etc|. And they say all of these items wear out! This is so much bull crap that I could be a millionaire selling their fertilizer;.

I called their complaint line but that was like beating my head against a wall:. I also spoke to the store manager and that was even worse. I wish a lawyer would get involved and have a class action lawsuit filed for the people that have legitimate grievences against Car Max.
