Transmission Parts Distribution
Jeff Madison Does not honor his own warranty or stand by his junk transmissions

Cars & Transport

6/17 by reference of a friend who bought a transmission from Transmission Parts Distribution, owner Jeff Madison, I contacted Jeff to have the transmission rebuilt in my 1994 ford Taurus SHO. I sent the transmission to Michigan from Wisconsin. Upon inspection of the transmission, he said it was grenaded and would have to find a donor transmission for parts. This is when the fun started. One year went by and I still hadn't had a transmission. I was told about every excuse in the book about this transmission being difficult to find parts for.

I made one phone call to a bone yard 30 minutes away from me and found a transmission for him. I sent it to him, which he then called me and told me it was junk. He refunded my money and I should have left it alone right there. Then shortly after, I got a phone call from Steve, an associate of Jeff's, and he told me they found a transmission and could rebuild mine and would love a chance to make this right.

I agreed since I still had no transmission in the car. This turned into another long wait fiasco in which the car ended up needing additional expense in the form of front brakes and rotors from sitting so long. The transmission finally came back to me after many arguments with Jeff and for my $400 of labor, the transmission didn't even make it 500 miles. It was junk!

Jeff refused to take the transmission back this time not to mention I had to invest another $300 into the transmission because they failed to keep any of the sensors or speedometer hardware off the old transmission, which I had asked him to do three times. Jeff then told me that he would have to locate another donor transmission which took another year and to the point to where I had enough.

Enter small claims court... Which is still ongoing. His own warranty that he has on his website states that his transmissions are covered for two years. My transmission lasted about 2 weeks and 500 miles which entitles me to a new transmission or a refund, which this clown thinks he obviously doesn't have to satisfy. Jeff Madison is a crook in my opinion and will completely jerk you around and waste your time. Now i have to waste mine in small claims court. This job was completely over and above his repair and rebuild knowledge of transmissions obviously.

I would suggest that you use any other transmission place on the planet but this one. To date, with labor, parts, court costs, and replacing his crap transmission to get my car running, I have invested over $3,000 that I am currrently trying to collect. Stay away from this place or it will cost you more than you bargain for.
