Bought a car in 1996 and they are taking money from my account and my pay check. 15 years later. Ruined my credit

I bought a car in 1996 and had it less than 3 years they put three transmissions and then that even didnt work. Then it wouldnt go at all. I told them to come get it. Well 11 years later I am being sued for $16,000.00 and they have been taking money from my work checks and now have been cleaning out my bank account. I asked for the car facts sheet, to see what happen to the car and they told me they dont have it, And that I would have to go to the court house to get it. I called the court house and left several messages and yet no reply back. If they take all tis money from me I am intitled to the car back since I am paying almost three time more than what I payed for it. This is crazy. What to do?
