Scammers, Fraudulant, collecting on closed accounts

Company puts derogatory info on credit report after account has been closed for years. Bought closed account and is attempting to collect on account. SOL has been violated. Not only has original account on my credit report but puts their account on as well. Now i have 2 of the same entries from 1996 wreaking havoc on my report.
One credit agency has disputed it and says all is ok. What a joke and i get no say so. I figured since 1996 i wouldnt need to keep documents from 11 years ago. Im fuming!!!
