Y2K is a scam, a rip off, and a waste of time

I just recently ran my credit and saw a $13,000 debt to Y2K. Now, we had purchased two cars through this company, one that was paid off and one that was reposessed (after the economy collapsed). They report the reposession, but not the paid off vehicle (seems a bit shady). So I call Y2K and ask why there is a $13,000 debt on my credit, since the $13,000 was my full purchase price and they resold the vehicle. The LAW does state that if the vehicle is resold they have to apply the resell amount towards my delinquet account. The rude woman that answered the phone told me I would have to speak to the owner about why they haven't applied any of the resell value towards my debt. I then speak to, who I believe to be, the owner and he proceeds to tell me that he only sees about $3,000 dollars that would be apllied to my delinquent account, although it has never been applied. Not to mention, I do not believe for one second that they sold the car for that much less, especially considering that we installed a brand new stereo system and speakers.

Now, when I asked why the only reporting they did was on a negative account, the gentleman said "I don't choose what accounts we report.". Really? They just magically appear? I suggest that EVERYONE, that has had a problem with this "company", report to The Better Business Bureau. This company preys on people who have less than perfect credit and people that come from low income households. This "company" should not be allowed to conduct "business", if they are not conducting themselves in an upstanding, reputable, and FAIR manner.
