Company charged for doing nothing

I set up an apt to have my timing belt changed, the est was $298.00. I had recieved a $25.00 coupon in the mail to use for any service. Scott called me and said my car needed rear brakes because the rotors looked rusty on the outside rim and the pads were thin, the est was $450.00, the rear pads were replaced less than 1 month ago. He also said I needed a new exhaust and a new head gasket. The car was running fine with nothing noticable wrong, just wanted a normal timing belt replacement, they wanted to do 2-3 thousand worth of additional work. Scott said they wouldn't charge anything and I could just pick the car up. When my wife went to pick the car up they charged her $42.00 and "forgot" about the $25.00 coupon.

Just be very carefull if you take your car there, get a second opinion, could save you thousands.
