American Auto Shield, LLC
Motor Vehicle Division Factory Warranty Expiration Notice

Cars & Transport

This official looking letter with the infamous "FINAL NOTICE" stamped on it makes it sound like you need to call 1-866-503-4680 right now to extend your factory warranty. The biggest problem I have with this letter is that on the front and top of this letter it says "MOTOR VEHICLE DIVISION" (with the U.S. Seal no less!) which sounds like it's from your local DMV and maybe it's even required by law that you get your warranty extended. Only by reading the fine print do you find that this is a "special limited time offer" from American Auto Shield, LLC. I'm guessing it comes from AAS's motor vehicle division but it's extremely misleading to put "MOTOR VEHICLE DIVISION" on this warranty offer.

While this isn't illegal it's in poor taste, don't patronize a company with such deceptive mail tactics.
