I was quoted by Owner Frank Zeleya of Rayco Tops and Auto Upholstery a price of $125.00 to perform changes to my NEW motorcycle seats. I stopped in on March 31st to have Frank and his co-workers look at the motorcycle. I stopped in on April 1st so he could remove the seats (driver and passenger) and begin the work. On April 2nd he asked me to stop by and look at the progress. Later that day he asked me to stop by again to give final approval before they put the seat cover back on. At this time Frank Zeleya tells me the work is more than they anticipated and he now wants $375.00. That is three times his original estimate. I told him that is unacceptable. I offered him another $50.00 on top of the $125.00 so I can get the job done. He refused and told me he would "give me a discount and charge me $275.00". Again I told him this was not right and I could not pay that much over his original estimate. He then told me he would NOT finish the job and that I should come back Monday, April 4th and he would put the seat back the way it was. I wasted (5) hours of my time and (5) trips back and forth to this shop. The seat is NOT as it was before since Rayco removed the seat covers, redid the interior foam, etc... And now I will have to take it to order another motorcycle seat to replace the brand new seat Rayco tore apart since mine is no longer in it's original condition. When I arrived to pick up my seats, they also refused to re-install them back on the motorcycle from which Rayco took them off.
