Cars & Transport

I bought a 97 honda civic from a tall lanky fellow from WVA. The car was promised to be in GOOD condition with just under 130k miles on it and everything working. It was very late at night when i examined the car and it was very cold out so i was in a big hurry or buy or not. The car ran fine and was missing a piece of trim, the air cleaner box, dash lights and needed a new fender which was provided at the time of sale.

The next day i got a better look at the car and noticed it was spray painted here and there to cover up light rust and discolorations. With the sun full ablaze i got a better look under the hood and noticed the radiator has a leak that was fixed with jb weld and was wired up with a coat hanger. The A/C was disconnected by the harness and there is no belt, also the radiator was bent severly like the car was wrecked. I also noticed the back passenger door wouldnt open and the trunk has a door from an LX model, my civic is a DX. The key wont fit the trunk either and it leaks very badly.

On my way to get the title done the odometer stopped working at exactly 129,999 miles. Upon closer inspection i noticed a chip in the number one wheel like it was been forced back with a screwdriver or something. Oh well i thought nothing of it. I got the title done and started pouring money into the car.

I bought new tires to take care of the 65 mph vibration. I had this done at walmarts. The man who did the tires said the reason for the vibrations was 4 inches of mud inside the rim on the front passenger side. I bought a new O2 sensor because the car was throwing po135 code and when i went to install it i noticed it wassnt plugged up and the plugs didnt match anyway! This tells me that either he stuck any o2 sensor in it to sell it or the whole top part of the exhaust is from a different car. That would make sense seeing as i now am aware that the car has been in an accident and has had the whole front end rebuilt (ie: front clip is loose, new headlights, holes in the radiator, bent radiator for the a/c, damage to the driver side fender). Mostly stuff you cant see in the dark with a flashlight.

I installed a stereo in it and had to rewire the speakers in the doors. At this point i noticed that the car has been at least partially flooded. There was mud in the door and the mud in the tires makes sense now. After i got that work done i saw it... The inspection sticker on the windshield. I pulled it off to get a better look at it. The vins matched the civic and the sticker says the car has 206k miles on it. It was dated 9-10 and i bought the car on 3-11. I done some researching and know that mr prichard owned the car at this time.

All communication done when buying the car and after went to a jason bellomy on his iphone. It was jason bellomy who brought the car up. I dont know why i didnt put it all together at the time (names not matching, name on the bill of sale incorrect ect.) The pieced together this car and made it so the victem (me) could only see this car at night and when the flaws couldnt readily be seen. This cars only saving grace is that it runs great. These 2 people turned the odometer back on this car by exactly 103k miles. Thats a felony that cant be submitted to law enforcement so easily and needs an attorney to do anything about. The attorneys fees would cost more than the car which at this point i have 3 grand in.

Stay away from wayne prichard and jason bellomy of west virginia unless you looking to get scammed like i did.
