MHC Kentworth, Waco texas. Took our Money for no job, and still gave wrong diagnosis

We called MHC, who had done work on our truck before, about a throttle issue we were having. They told us that was probably a wiring issue that we would be unlikely to find and fix ourselves. We had our truck towed 65 miles to MHC, they told us they could fix the truck.

The next day, we called, they told us that it appeared to be a ECM (computer) problem, and that they were running diagnostics and would call us back. Two days later, we went by, they said they were looking for the replacement ECM, be about $500, would call us when they were done. Two days later, we called, they said it was done. SO we go to pick up our truck, surprise surprise, the mechanic we had been dealing with had left for the day, and we were handed a bill for $451, and a letter explaining that they had decided it was the ECM, but they don't work on Volvos, so we had to take it to the volvo repair shop. As I said before, they have worked on our truck a couple times before.

So they did NOTHING, and charged us for it!

To make matters worse, we limp the truck (no throttle) over to volvo, they spend about three hours tracing the wiring and find a broken wire and a blown fuse... Cost $181!!! NOT THE ECM at all! SO the diagnosis MHC gave us was wrong as well, all that testing and holding our truck for a week and charging nearly $500, and they didn't even give us the right diagnosis to look in to.
