I had a 4L60E transmission rebuilt with an upgrade package to ensure the recent problem would not happen again. It was done by Netgearhead.com back in August. Slow turn around time, but finally got the transmission 3 weeks later.installed the transmission and used it for about one month and less than 1000 miles. The transmissions 3rd clutch pack went out. I called Joe and Greg at netgearhead and explained it to them. They told me to return it to them and they would rebuild it. I removed the tranny (complete with torque converter) and shipped it back to them by request of Joe (Oct). Come to find out that the guy who rebuilt it did a SHOTTY job. 2 weeks later I recieved the tranny (24 Oct) but no torque converter. Impossible to install the tranny without a torque converter. I called Netgearhead and found out that the Phones have been disconnected and that the web site was down. I emailed numerious amount of times to Joe and Sales at netgearhead.com. Meanwhile while the tranny was wrapped up and waiting on the back patio, I was in the middle of a move from South Carolina to DC. Now I have to go from DC to SC to install my tranny. I finally had time to install my tranny on Thanksgiving Day only to realize that the torque converter was not shipped with the tranny. Can you imagine when I went to install my tranny and the torque converter was not there (A waste of a Weekend and $100) That is when I called to have the torque converter sent. I could not get ahold of them. Frustrated and knowing that the phones have been disconnected and the web site is down, I knew I was screwed. Needing to get my car back up I called and ordered a new torque converter from a Reputable Tranny shop. Finally I recieved an email from Joe, after I ordered the $145 torque converter, and he sent me the torque converter 2 weeks later. I emailed them so many time I can not remember. Needless to say the weekend before X-Mas I went again to install my tranny only to find out that the tranny bell housing has 4 big cracks. It is unusable. Knowing that Netgearhead is closed down I called the shipping company. They are working with me, but I had to report the damage within 14 days of the delivery. I was not there to recieve the delivery, I was in DC. The tranny was deliverd on 24 Oct and I went Thanksgiving Day to install it. A month later. All in All my car is still sitting up (as of Today) waiting for the tranny to be repaired. Such a beautiful car wasted on a SHITTY tranny. I can not start to explain how PISSED I am and how much money I have lost. The Netgearhead.com corporation is suceeded by Netgearhead.net. I have emailed them numerious amount of times also, but no response. 96 Chevy Impala SS
