Aamco Transmissions mistakes, poor workmanship consumer rip-off

This will be the 3rd time I have brought my truck in.

I had my tranny replaced in April "01". After picking it up I noticed it was slipping still. They said my computer or Throttle position sensor (TPS) was probabbly screwing up. I had the computer checked out at the Ford dealer and said it was O.K. I replaced the TPS just to be safe.

Well the tranny started to slip again about August. I brought the truck in at the beginning of September. They said the torque converter was on recall and theat they would replace that. When I arrived to pick up my truck they said they replaced the torque converter and pump while they were at it.

This morning 12/25 while going out to the truck to head off to my families Christmas party i noticed a puddle of tranny fluid under the truck. Upon further inspection I noticed it was comming from the bell housing.

I had my neighbor take a look at it, he own's his own car repair facility, and he said it was most likely my "pump"."Don't drive it" he said because the pump could let loose at any time and catch the truck on fire. The leak is right above the exhaust pipe. No family party for me.

I have left a message with the president of AAmco and the local Aamco shop I had it serviced at. I am bringing the truck in tomorrow morning and call the President again. I can't afford to keep renting a car for there mistakes so I will continue to call the President himself until this matter is resolved. I will also contact Consumer Reports, Mike Boguslovski (Channel 2 News).
