Ripoff. The engine went and only has 55,000 miles on it

I bought a 2001 kia on aug. 4.

In oct. The engine went in my car. I was told by Kia that I did not change the oil enough and did not have a service check done at 30,000 miles.

I could not afford it. They wanted 379.00 for the service check.

I had my husband's mechanic look at the Kia. He said that the oil was not black enough to cause the engine to go. He also said that the service check had nothing to do with it.

I only had a little over 55,000 miles on the car. Kia wants 3300.00 to put a knew engine in. I feel that Kia should be responsible for it. I want to fight Kia but don't know how to do it. I have never had a problem like this before.
