Cars & Transport

It all started on Dec 13 when I paid for an engine that was stated it was a '97 Toyota Celica with 35,000 miles. It sounded good so I bought it.

After it arrived my mechanic was busy, so he didn't get to it until this week. What a mess... None of the parts from my original '97 engine would fit. When my mechanic checked with Toyota about this engine, they told him is was a late '80s vintage from a truck! And, my mechanic says that the condition of this engine puts at over 100,000 miles.

When I called Mid-City I spoke to John and complained about the mis-representation, and he just said "you didn't talk to me about whether it was a '97".

Now they claim that if I merely send the engine back to them, they will refund my money. How am I to trust them that I will even see a dime of my $995!

On top of this, my mechanic called them to say that many parts were already stripped off the engine, and Shaun, who he spoke to just hung up on him.

This company is the pits... And if anyone can help me... I would appreciate it. Thanks
