In response to a Craigslist ad under Treasure Coast Florida in the section of Services: labor/move. I had a young man come and give me an estimate to move from Fla, to N.C. It was a good deal and we agreed on a flat price of $1,600.00. Which included loading, unloading and gas. His name was Jimmy and he had good intentions, however, he was not on time to load (he said between 8 &9 A.M., and didn't arrive until 2:00P.M. He also said it would take 3-4 hours to load, it took almost 7 hours. He also misjudged the space needed on truck for my stuff and even tho he said I needed a truck plus trailer, when he couldn't fit it all in the truck he fought me and made me pay more $ to put my stuff on a trailer, which he had to get the next day (the day we we're moving) and never showed up with it until 10:00 A.M. My neighbor had to let him in, as I had left earlier as scheduled to drive to N.C. And get the storage unit keys, since they would be arriving after hours and we would have to let them in.in the meanwhile, he didn't take the things we asked, for i.E. I said leave the desk if it doesn't fit, but take everything else. He took the desk, yet left the desk chair! Along with other things, and didn't even call to ask me. Once he got on the road at 12:30 P.M. He drives all the way from Fl. To Ga. And calls me to tell me he misjudged the gas mileage and that he was going to need $300 more or else he was going to turn around and put my things in a storage unit in Fla. And if I didn't pay the storage bill, he would let my things be auctioned off. I had asked him to bring a contract, and unfortunately we never got around to signing it, so I was at his mercy. He also insisted that he had to unload when he got there as he was on a tight schedule to get back. He never arrrived until 4:00 A.M., and I actually helped him unload which took us until 11:00A.M. And that was just awful. He asked for payment in cash or money order, and when I gave him the money orders he freaked out like he never saw one before, and he gave me hassle over that saying he needed cash. The whole point is that we both made mistakes in this deal, he is very unprofessional, and I would never use his services as he has poor judgement and isn't businessman enough to admit it and eat the loss. Stay away from this service
