Merchants Tire/Auto of Fairfax, Va. Tear-It-Up! Your Car AND Time!

Here we go! Went here for a 'tire special' - 'four for the price of two' deal - (only once a year does this happen in the summer at Merchants) - Just a couple of months ago. Went over carefully with the service writer that I was not to 'suffer' any further with auto services tearing up my car while doing the work directly because I had already 'had enough' of the nonsense and time wasting routine (s) with the 'so called' professionals acclaimed at previous such establishments with my auto. He assured me nothing would happen, and sure enough, it did! The 'tire-man' tore up/damaged three (3) out of for of the rims AND hubcaps, the oil change was done sloppily with a filthy 'funnel' and 'overfilled-crankcase', and he 'lost? Two 'mounting-pegs? To he front splash-guard on the bottom of the auto. The tire-man had the nerve to boast what a wonderfull job he had done and said I should recommend him same to others. The manager 'dickered' and 'haggled' his way thru the entire ordeal until I was finally exhausted enough and so much TIME was wasted I settled on the hubcaps being replaced as well as the front splash-guard the mechanic? Lost 'pegs' to for remounting it back onto the bottom of the car! This could very well, if 'neglected', caused severe damage to possible death in an accident if it had 'come lose' while driving! And they were 'acting' while discussing it like it was 'no big deal'??? I should have easily been 'offered' all already stated PLUS the three (3) rims replaced! When I had to 'return' a week later to have the mentioned replaced, I observed another 'tire-man' drop another customers hubcap on the concrete, scraping it up as well. I asked the manager wether the responsible employees were going to have to pay 'out-of-pocket' for the replaced items and/or 'fired', he said 'No' it was no 'big deal' or something that they could have very well caused my death! He also recommended (if I didn't 'like' the service there) I could always go to their 'affiliates' businesses (NTW, etc.) I could not believe it? (the 'warranty' and so forth 'crosses-over' to these other affiliated tire/auto shops) UNbelievable! And Merchants owns all 'the rest' of the affiliated tire businesses, so at these 'main' Merchants facility (s), they always 'offer' the 'best deals o the auto services offered at all the 'others' This particular Merchants is 'listed' at 10784 Lee Hwy, when 'technically' the street IS renamed (conveniently?) Faifax Blvd. (Rt. 29/50) just inside the City limits. Beware! Your $, your LIFE IS at stake here, not to mention, your TIME is TRASH!!
