Uncle Mikes Auto Mall
BIG BOB'S CARS Company sold me a lemon and tried to get insurance agency to pay for car

Cars & Transport

I purchased a vehicle from Big Bob's Cars A.K.A. "Uncle Mike's Auto Mall" on August 17th. My car's wheel baron broke on August 28th. I have a 90 day warranty on the vehicle. I asked the owner how a car can have problems after the 1st week of purchasing it? His response was "it's a used car. What do you expect?" At this point I am not feeling to good about the company. The very next week on Sept 6th my car overheated. I contacted the company and took the car in for repairs. They kept the car for 2 days. When I picked up the car it ran hot before I even reached the interstate. They said that they replaced a radiator hose and a water pump. The "mechanics" forgot to bleed the water pump. At this point I have absolutely zero faith in this car dealer or it's mechanic staff. The very next day, the car started overheating AGAIN... I am no mechanic, however I saw water and radiator fluid leaking from the very same radiator hose that was suppose to have been replaced. Wow... I took my car back to them yet again... I got my car back the same day. It overheated before I reached the interstate once again... I took the car right back to the company. The mechanic's forgot to bleed the radiator hose. GO FIGURE...
The same evening my car was not overheating. All seemed fine until my car just shut off on me in the middle of the interstate with zero warning. I called the company and advised the owner that my car needed towing. The vehicle was completely disabled. After arguing with the owner for about 20 minutes, he finally gave in and gave me the # to his towing company. They confirmed the car was received. I went to the company on that following day and was informed that the engine in my vehicle was blown. Wow... At this point I am completely flabbergasted. How can a car engine blow after approximately 1 month and 8 days of owning the vehicle? They told me that they would price an engine and I would be responsible to pay for 1/2. Since I had a 90 day 50/50 warranty... Well, I got a phone call from my insurance agent and was advised that the car dealer called to place an insurance claim on my car saying that the vehicle was in an accident and my vehicle was damaged and engine blown as a result...
I called the car dealer and was advised by the owner that it is their vehicle and that they can basically do what they want. I am a hard working person who is not by any means wealthy. I pay my bills on time and I abide by the law. I personally feel that this company takes advantage of people such as myself. I feel that it is a travesty that they are in business. All I wanted was a reliable vehicle to get me back and forth from work. That's it. Not much to ask for, I guess you have to really do your research on "buy here, pay here" car dealers. However, that doesn't give them the right to sell lemons, "knowingly" and continue to do so to other consumers...

Buyer beware when purchasing a vehicle from "big bob's cars" a.K.A. "uncle mike's auto mall"...
