Yukon 2004's should have recalls on them

I was driving with my grandchildren and my odometer went crazy and wouldnt read the right speed and still wont. Im so upset If im doing 40 it saids im doing 90 or sometimes 120 miles per hour. The whole board is off the man said and needs to be replaced and they made me pay $78.90 to find that out when they should have covered it. I was told in the waiting room while it was being checked out that they were getting alot of them with the same problems thats why they didnt have the part on hand. They had a special recall on it up to 70'000 miles and I dont feel it's fair that so many people are still having problems with the same thing and it is as far as im concerned a recall! Im an older women and take very good care of my Yukon and treat it like it's my baby and paid alot of money for it. It also has other problems like a power steering fuild leak and all the wiring for the heated seats isnt working. Recalls showed up on the web and they told me it wasnt theirs the sites so they wouldnt cover it. Im in danger right now because of GMC and if they were fixing the problem up to 70,000 miles they knew it was a problem to begin with and they should cover it now also, Im just 17,000 miles over that limit they had. Please help they are doing wrong by the public and they are awere of it! It's only a 2004 and im a single mother and grandmother and drive with children all the time. They told me their was nothing they were going to do about it? I asked to please talk to someone higher up and she said it doesnt matter they arent going to do anything for you, They made up their minds. So please help me... Thank you so much Debra Sita
