American Honda - Recalls and Service

Cars & Transport

I own a 2006 Honda Accord, the 2nd Honda that I have purchased, and I am extremely unsatisfied with the way the recall on the power steering hose was handled. After receiving the recall letter, I brought my car to the dealership to get it checked. I was told that my power steering hose was no longer good and that it was changed, however my power steering pump also need to be changed but the recall did not cover that! I would love for someone to explain to me how a bad hose can not be the cause of my power steering pump to fail! The dealership wants me to pay over $500 to fix the pump and told me that the hose was not the cause! Before this issue I would have not purchased any other kind of vehicle and would have recommended Honda to anyone, but now I probably will never buy another Honda and will definately tell anyone that they do not try to make their customers happy or fix problems that were caused due to a recall on a part! I don't think that I am asking for much. I did nothing to cause the problem I am having... All I want is for my car to fixed and to work properly
