Un necessary repair work

I have taken my car to this Oil Change shop for about 3 years now. I live in a small town, the population is only 2000. Each time I took my car in for a simple oil change, my engines idle got worse. I sent my wife down and she asked them "Can you tell me what is wrong with my car?" This business told me to replace a simple sensor. That we did. It did nothing. We took it back in, they told my wife that it needed another sensor, but this one they would have to do. I purchased the part, and my wife took the car to Lube Plus. They charged us $75.00 for 10 minutes of work. (what is there regular hourly shop rate???) This is a small business in a small town, 2 bays and a so called computer they claim is the only one in the county! That is what Ken told me. He lied. Fed up I took my car across the street to my normal mechanic, he told me that both of these sensors were never the problem and they were completly un necessary. The total bill for this so called repair was Parts $75.26 plus labor which was $145.00 bringing the grand total to $220.26!! I called the owner Jim, he told me to come down to the buiness. Why, so I could pay him more money and he can GUESS what is wrong. My complaint is he never knew what was wrong. So why did they charge me to fix the sensors? They told me the computer told them this was the problem. It was not. So why didn't he just say "I don't know", and recomend another mechanic. This would have saved me money. I want a portion of the money back. Not all because they did do work, it wasn't right, but they did put the sensors in. I would say about $100.00 for labor. Thats $200.00 per hour shop time for the business, and $120.26 back to me, the unsatisfied customer. I work for the largest manufacturer in this area, and I know alot of people. Word gets around fast. My next stop is the City of Colfax to file another complaint. How many other people have they done this too? They are not the only repair shop around.
