Careless gun sales - Mossberg Gun

I purchased a 270. Rifle from dicks on black friday last season. (11-09). Everything went great at the store until about three or four months later. I received a phone call from them saying they lost my info., to register the gun with the state of Ohio. I was abit concerned with that so my wife and me went in and gave a manager the info. We thought everything was fine until a few weeks ago. (8-7). I got a call from the corporate office stating they needed the info right away because they were getting audited. The guy was very rude and expected me to jump in my car and come over. I told him I already handled it but they must have lost it twice. This whole thing is so unprofessional i don't know what to do anymore. I am an honest hard working father of two so they are lucky. What if i were a criminal? I would have an unregistered gun at this very moment. Gun purchasing should be held to a high standard like most stores except them. I will sit on this issue with them and see what happens next. Legal action on my part maybe? Somebody needs to be aware of this problem. Who else has purchased a weapon and they lost there info.? P.S. This is at the Mansfeild, Ohio store.
