Gave verbal quote and did not stick to it

Went to schedule an appointment to get my cooling system flushed. Asked for quote and the owner told me it would be $75.00. That was the only amount he told me. When i went there to get it done, today, he tells me it's going to be $115.00. Now i have worked as a senior project manager for a contractor, and i have done hundreds of bids on multi-million dollar projects, and i know when i hear a final amount. $75.00 was the only amount he told me. Maybe he made a mistake, and maybe it's still a good price but, it would be best to get all quotes in writing first. Am not complaining that they did anything wrong but it did cause me a lot of problems and totally ruined my plans for the day. So please understand i am not saying they are a bad company.
