Prior to move date I called the company and requested a quote on moving my house from NY to FL. The estimater came to my house and gave me a quote of $1,482. The day of the move the foreman on the job told me that I was quoted substantially low and we agreed to stop midway and he would let me know what the amount was at that time. It was already more than twice the amount quoted. It seemed like a scam that they would quote a very low price, get the stuff on the truck and then tell you it was a mistake. When I argued the point they threatened to take all of my belongings off the truck giving me no choice but to pay the amount, because I already sold my house and the new owner was moving in the next day. Now that I have my belongings here in Florida I am missing several things including a huge piece of furniture in which they are not even acknowleding after several phone calls. I am still waiting to hear from them.
