Chevrolet Silverado 1999 Rip-off should be a GM Recall

I recently had to get my anti-brakes repaired on my 1999 Chevrolet Silverado.in doing so my brother had to get the same work done on his 99 Chervolet. Since then I have heard of 8 others getting this done at a cost of 800.00 dollars. This was before the vehicle had 60,000 miles. Looks like a problem with the boards to me if this is happening at this rate.
