I put a $1000.00 deposit on a 1997 Mark 8. I was never told that the deposit was non-refundable untill they took my money then they wrote it on the receipt that was given to me. There are no signs posted anywhere in the office about deposits nor did the salesman whose name is Brian say anything. I gave them the $1000 at the close of business on tuesday March9 for the car my boyfriends car that was identical 2 this car was found so therefore I no longer wanted 2 purchase that car. I called the lot first thing Wednesday morning to let them know the lady stated that she didnt have that type of money on her they just opened I would have 2 speak with her boss. She took my name and number said she would call back never did I called them later that afternoon and was told that my deposit was non-refundable that she had written it on the receipt. I offered to give them a hundred dollars 4 any inconvience but I dont need two identical cars. They are trying to force me to buy a car from their lot.
