Huntington Beach Dodge sticker price of 21,999 contract price 27,850 ripoff, dishonest, fraudulant, admit fault but then backed out

We purchased a 2001 Durange on 10/4/02 from Huntington Beach Dodge. The following day we had to bring it back after the morning dew was wiped off, so was the paint. We were told it seated 8 and only seated 7.

We decided to trade it in on a more compatible vehicle to find that we were $10,000. Upside down. The sticker price on the contract was 21,999., but the contract price was 27,850. We have the original sticker off the window showing the price at 21,999. We Contacted Huntington Beach Dodge and after a month of phone calls the General Manager, John Holmbeck, agreed to meet with us.

Taking our documentation to H.B. Dodge, we were met by the Sales Manager, Rick Landeros. We submitted the proof and documentation, RICK LANDEROS BEING UNABLE TO JUSTIFY WHY THE STICKER PRICE WAS RAISED 7,000. Rick AGREED, "that both parties were at fault in this matter." We agreed that the contract could be recinded do to "mutual mistake" on both sides, or on the basis of "fraud" on the dealer.

Rick agreed that Huntington Beach Dodge would rectify the situation. We went and picked out a vehicel. He told us to bring the Dorango in on Saturday and everything will be good to go. RICK TOLD US "DO NOT WORRY, WE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU."

We arrived at the dealer on saturday, inspected the vehicle and were handed the keys. We waited 3 hours for Rick Landeros to come into the office and tell us HE NEEDED ANOTHER 4,700 FROM US. Before the deal was made, he asked us to pay 1,000. Toward taxes and license, and we agreed. At no time during this did the general manager, john holmbeck, show his face. We sent NUMEROUS letters to the owner, CLAY JAMES, with no response.

The owner nor his general manage at no time made any attempt to contact us. We made a complaint with Chrysler Corporation, BBB Bureau, Department of Comsumer, and DMV, with no response. We are now going to make a complaint against the finance company. For financing a vehicle for triple in its value. This car is worth 16,000. And the payoff is 28,000. Totaling 47,000. At the end of the contract.
