Don Davis Auto Grop
Don Davis Auto Group Does Not Know Ethics ripoff they hide the contract and mislead me to sign it dishonest ripoffs

Cars & Transport

On July 22, I came to the Nissan Don Davis Auto Group, located at 1320 East Interstate 20 Arlington, Texas 76018, to bargain the price of a 2003 Nissan Murano, the negotiation was going on for about three hours, we were talking about buying the SUV with a 60 months note.

Our offer was to get the car for $500 a month, and they came back several times with higher offers that we were unwilling to accept. The dealership had already closed by the time we settled the deal; and the person in charge of the finance was Mr. Eric Timani. He informed us that they would take our $500 dollar a month offer if we paid a $250 down payment, to which we consented.

He returned with a contract, although he seemed upset about the deal. He never went over the contract with us, and deceptively folded the contract so that we only saw the monthly payment and the space to sign. He told us that we got a 2.9 APR and rushed us to sign it. We requested a copy of the contract and he told us that he would have it the next day when we came to pick up the car.

The following afternoon we again requested a copy of the contract and the sales person said they would mail it to us. We insisted, but the sales person would not meet our request. Today when I went to the dealership to pick up my license plates, I again entreated the salesperson for a contract. Not surprisingly, they said they did not have it. I had to talk with about three people before someone found my copy. After all of this runaround, I was finally able to peruse the contract and there found a huge error. I immediately noticed that they had used a 72 months note and a 7.5 APR. I was shocked and tried to talk with somebody about this misunderstanding.

They told me to wait in the lobby. When I finally got help, I was told that if we had not read the contract it was our own business, and person who helped us said that there is no law that forbids the dealership from withholding contracts. I explained that we were told that the contract was for sixty months and that my suspicions about the salesperson withholding the contract from me had been confirmed.

The salesperson I talked to was extremely rude and unprofessional, practically yelling at me, do you see the contract in front of you? You signed and agreed to it so there is nothing you can do. I attempted to explain to him the unfairness and deception Mr. Timani had used in order to coerce us, but he only became more aggravated and rude. I asked to talk with his supervisor and he left the office, when he came back he made the excuse that his boss was too busy to talk to me and that all he could do is give us the 2.9 APR that had been offered previously.

However; the payment would go up to 565. He did not give me the chance to say anything about that option and closed the window on his computer. He said he had nothing else to say and asked us to leave. I asked for his business card and he gave one with the name of Kelly Shoulders, I asked if this was his and he said it was, I also asked for a business card from Mr. Timani, which he gave to me. Before I left the office I asked if there was a number I could be able to contact about this matter and he told me that I should call Nissan, but since we signed the contract the situation was futile.

I am writing this letter as a formal complaint about the way Don Davis Auto Group, and their finance department does business. If this kind of underhanded dealing is a reflection of the Nissan Corporation, you can be assured that youve lost a loyal customer. I strongly believe I was misled into signing the contract by the unprofessional and unethical conduct of the financial department. I am extremely unhappy with the outcome of this situation and I will do whatever is necessary to fix this problem. I expect a swift response about this matter.
