I have a 2004 Ford Explorer. About a year ago when I hit 50,000 miles my heater started giving me problems along with some electrical issues. At first the heater started making a "clicking" noise when switched from coll to heat, but eventually turn the air hot. Then last year it stopped switching over. You had AC but NOTHING else! I took the vehicle to a mechanic to have him look at it and he said it was "very common" issues with the 04 Ford Explorer. So, I took it to a Ford dealership and had them take a look. The cost to fix would be between $700 and $1500!! The part only cost $75. I started doing research on the internet on how to fix it. There were 100's of complaints dealing with the SAME EXACT ISSUE! I have had no heat in my explorer in over a year. I have had to take my daughter to school in freezing weather with no heat. I just want Ford to fix the issue.in this economy we do not have that kind of money laying around to fix something that is 100% Ford's fault.
