In January I purchased a 2006 Saturn Vue certified Pre-Owned car. Not long after I had to take it back for repairs due to loose strut mounts.in February I had to again take it in because the air was blowing warm air in the cool setting. They said they could not find anything wrong and it started working again. After about 2 months in June I think, I had to take it back again for the A/C doing the same thing. They had it for about a day and said they evaced, refilled it and put in dye but could not find anything wrong with it.in December it started again. I took it to them and low and behold they found a problem... The evaporator was leaking! But there is another problem, my certified warranty was past 2000 miles... How convenient. Well they said that they could not do the repair for free. I informed them that I had bought the extended warranty. They looked it up and called Fidelity. Fidelity sent an adjuster out and he approved the repair minus $100 deductible. Well after 2 weeks Ferman called back and said that they could not get the part and to take it to Ed Morse Saturn on Causeway Blvd. So I did. When I got there I shut the car off and went and talked to Laura. I went to pull the car up but now it did not start. They said they would pull it up. Well after the second day Tim Crowder calls and lets me know that the battery was bad. It was fine when I went to Ferman and dropped it off for 2 weeks.
Tim then informs me that they cannot do any work on the car because 2 caps for the High and Low side of the A/C were missing. Keep in mind that Ferman Chevy Techs are the only ones that have opened this hood. Even I have not opened it yet. I called Ferman and Bill Sutton, Service rep, said that it was covered in the deal with Paul from Fidelity. I called back to Tim and let him know. Tim called Fidelity and they said that it was not covered. Tim called me back and told me this great news and that the 2 little caps were over $81!!! Yep thats right $81 for 2 little caps!
That's not all... The brake fluid cap was also missing! Ferman must have lost these caps and never said anything to me. Now I was willing to pay this $100 deductible but in no way am I ready to pay $81 for A/C caps, $34 for a brake cap, and $131 for a battery when everything was fine when I dropped it off to them an they never said anything or gave me any documents saying that anything was missing.
I am going to see what a lawyer says about this. Ferman said that they cannot be in the middle now because they do not have the car! What a poor way to do business. I am even writing Baynews9, Fox13,8 on your side, the Florida AG, the BBB, and anyone else I can.
