New Battery with reversed Polarity

In December I bought an Interstate Battery in the nearby Vehicle Mission components shop for my 1982 Corvette. A 1982 Corvette has got the battery area behind the individuals fit and it is created in this method that to place the Battery in backwards could be difficult. After correct installment I switched on key and also the vehicle immediately loaded with smoking. The battery was disconnected and taken back again to Vehicle Mission to be examined. While connected properly the battery listed completely lifeless, when connected backwards the battery confirmed 12.7 amplifiers. Vehicle Mission delivered battery back again to East Penn Manufacturing Co. They went assessments about the Battery and unearthed that it had been changed polarity and delivered me a notice saying this. Nevertheless, they'll not remain behind their item. The main reason which was mentioned in my experience was they stated the battery was corrected billed within the area. The Corvetteis digital elements including ECM were melted. The technician who did the repairs mentioned the only real period he noticed something worse was a working vehicle hit by lightening. I'm outofpocket $3,000 and never completed yet.

I'd not suggest the insterstate battery to my worst enemy.
