Purchased a Gold mechanical breakdown policy for $685 covering 5 years - 60K miles on a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer.

First time I tried to use vehicle had 30K miles about 40 months. They would not cover replacement of idle air bypass valve.

Makes one wonder what is actually covered if anything. No details of civerage was recieved form delearship which is now no longer in business.
