Preying on the weak

I took my car to NTB (National Tire & Battery) for an oil change. After about a week the oil light started coming on when I pressed the brake. About 10 minutes after this happened, the car stopped completely.
Gallagher Bassett is the insurance company for NTB. My car is 7 years old with high mileage, however I can produce receipts for all routine maintenance on this vehicle from the day it left the show room floor with 18 miles.
GB gave me the runaround for three weeks, forcing me to rent a car until they finally came clean with the fact that the damage was caused by NTB's negligence and that NTB went to extremes to cover that negligence.
I get a call today that they will replace the motor with one from the salvage yard which has 97,000 miles on it and no maintenance history. Additionally, they will only warranty the part and that warranty lasts 6 months. If it is found that the motor is no good during this 6 month period, they'll buy a new motor but I'll have to cover the labor.
I'm willing to do a class action as well.
