Trying to make me pay double a car is worth... Trying to rip me off. Dallas Texas

In October of I went to get a car, due to the fact my credit wasn't all good I was forced to get in to a 2005 Malibu Maxx, which at the time was nice for me. My Car Note came out to be $ 491.87 per month at that time I had a good paying job so that was not a huge problem.in 2006 I have a baby and was laid off from my job I was out of work for 10 months but still managed to pay my note. Now almost 4 years later after speaking with a my acct manager yesterday I was told I have paid over 17,000 on this car which was only financed for 16,700. To make matter worst I was told that most of the money has went to the interest of the car and only One Thousand something odd dollars has went toward the purchase of the car. Drive is a rip off now they are telling me I still owe them 14,000.00 on this car. I refuse to pay them anymore. I have already spoke to a attorney and plan to file a law suit against them.
