Cars & Transport

Today I received my warranty information. Along with the envelope were two bottles of auto additive. One for transmission and the other for oil/engine, After reading the information I was shocked to read unless I sent the card back verifying I put this gunk in my car, I couldn't use the warranty. This was not disclosed to me. I was skeptical when I first bought the warranty over the phone. The salesperson didn't emphasis the part about the probation. I had to drive the car 1500 mile and wait 60 days before the car warranty would take effect. When I asked what happened if I didn't drive the car 1500 miles in 6 months? It doesn't matter, I still had to pay the monthly fee and regard less if I drove 800 miles they wouldn't pay for it. Oh, by the way, they gave me a military discount of $300 when I told them I was retired from the Navy.

So today at 5:44 I called cust serv and spoke to Robin, she tried to convince me I needed the additive and when I told her I didn't want to get into a long drawn out back and forth discussion, she became terse. I told her I just wanted my money back. She attempted to tell me that they looked at my account and was going to offer me a lower price, I shut her down and said I knew you were going to say that. Just give me my money back. She left the line for about a minute and came back saying I would get a refund in 3-5 days.

Just wondering what to do about this additive I got, she didn't say anything about sending it back. Be careful, they are worse than a car dealer getting you to buy the warranty. They want you write stuff down and circle a price, all of the car dealer tricks. FAITH BASE, YEAH RIGHT They pray to the almighty dollar.
