Tomtom Mexico Map - Zero Signal in Mexico - No refund from Totom since It's not There fault I downloaded the map they're selling

I bought and downloaded Mexico map since we're going to Cancun for vacation. WHen we arrived in Cancun, I powered on my GPS but it can't detect any signal. I wasn't able to use the map I bought for $49.95.

I called them today to see what the problem was and also to see if I can get a refund. A customer service representative picked up the phone and said that he will help me in a few minutes, After 3 minutes, I said "hello", he responded "I'm still here ma'am, give me just a few more minutes" after about 2 minutes, he asked my name, email etc without even asking the reason for my call. After all the unnecessay questions, I told him what my issue is, that I wasn't able to use the map I paid for. He wanted the serial # of my tomtom, and mind you, I told him that I'm driving but apparently he wants the serial number to be able to help me.

I gave him the information he needed. He put me on hold, got back to me and said that they can't issue a refund mainly because I've already downloaded the map. I told him that I downloaded it because I want it that's why I'm buying it but it just didn't work even after trouble shooting etc. He still said I already downloaded the map so he can't help me out!

I insisted on talking to his supervisor name Hide or Hedi. I don't know how he became a supervisor coz he can't even give me a better explaination as to why I should be charged for their product that's NOT WORKING! All he said is that I downloaded it and that it states on the terms that I accepted during the purchase that once it's been downloaded that they're not liable if the map works in the country I'm gonna be using the map. I told him that its bullshit for their company to sell something that doesn't work. He even keep on telling me that my GPS unit and my map are two different things and i told him that I know they're two different products but they're still owned and sold by TOMTOM! I DID NOT RECEIVE A DECENT EXPLANATION FROM A TOMTOM S U PER VI SOR!

I love their GPS but I don't think I will be buying anymore maps from them since they can't guarantee their product.

Recommendatio: don't buy tomtoms mexico map!
