Ruined my vacuum boster on 1967 Ford LTD, brakes never worked again

I brought my 67 Ford LTD to Vip on stillwater ave, Bangor Me to have the front brake shoes replaced. When I picked up my car and drove away, my brakes barely worked, the power factor disappeared. I returned immediately. The short of the long is that the service tech stated he did nothing wrong, that they didn't make power brakes in "those" days. The kid was about twenty years old. I told him that power brakes have been around since the fifties. The manager became rude and belligerent, stating that there was nothing wrong with the brakes. I wrote a letter to the president of the company twice and never heard from him. I think they blew a seal in the master cylinder or damaged my vacuum booster.in any event, these parts are more difficult to find due to the age of the car. I continue to hear horror stories with regard to VIP. It is like they are a bunch of gangsters, bullying people out of their money and daring you to do something about it. I can't believe the place is still in business!!!
