Deceitful practices throughout the buying experience!

I would like to be very clear as to the nature of the deceit being performed at the Bill Kay Chevrolet in Lisle, IL.

They will state extraordinary high prices for their vehicles hoping you are not informed as to the true cost of vehicles in their inventory (note they will never have a price posted on any vehicle on their lot.

They will absolutely low ball you for your trade in not a little but thousands! They will state a number of reasons as to why this is but the one they use now is that the price of autos is declining (shouldn't the cars on their lot be declining in price also?)

They will absolutely try and get you on the financing. They will quote you at least a point higher than you should actually be paying.

If none of these work and you are an informed buyer they will try and get you at the signing of documents. Keep in mind they have kept you in the dealerhship for at least six hours so all you want is to get your new car and get out! They will change the details of the agreement on the documents hoping you will not notice. The price of the car you are purchasing may be a bit higher, the price they pay for your trade a bit lower, the rate of financing a bit higher. If you notice they will play this off as a simple oversight on their part (this actually happened to me!) It's not over though... After three weeks they will call and say they made an oversight (again... Happened to me) and demand you owe more money. I was give three reasons as to why this was; taxes (turned out not to be true), warranty (bought it certified so again not true), and finally they said it was because of a misstated payoff amount on my trade (I called GMAC and they said the payoff was off due to dealer error no further details were available). I actually agreed to send the check but only to GMAC. I sent the check and received a phone call from Bill Kay dealership asking me to put a stop on the check and send it directly to the dealership... I have refused and the check to GMAC has still not been cashed. This is all very suspicious!

Do yourself a favor... Avoid the hassle of this dealerhip. There are plenty of honest dealerships... Bill Kay Chevrolet Lisle IL is not one of them!
