Deceptive rental practice

While having our car repaired we rented a car and were told that there was a flat fee of $19.95 for extra insurance coverage which seemed reasonable and a prudent thing to accept, only to find that this was a daily fee amounting to
$170.00.in the final analysis we had to pay this amount as it was only our word against the rental agents. Further to our dismay, we received no response to our correspondence to the Senior Director of Marketing.

Pretty poor business practices, I'd venture to say.
