Frank Blonda, President Road Runners Fleet Services RIPOFF ROAD RUNNERS (THEIF) FLEET SERVICES

On January 29, I paid Road Runners Fleet Services, located in Bensenville, IL, $2588.63 for replacing my fly wheel and starter on my 1996 Ford CF-8000 straight truck.

After expressing to them that their price was rather excessive, Ann (the Office Manager), and Nick (the Mechanic), assured me that I had received genuine parts and the best of quality workmanship, and that they would stand by their work.

Well after less than two months and only 540 miles later, March 17, I was back there with the same problem: the starter dragging, my truck would not start.

Eager was the first mechanic to crawl under the vehicle and took a look at it.
He specificially stated that the fly wheel had some bad spotts on it and that the starter was also a bit worn. Well after about four hours, two starters, an ignition switch, and a relay switch, with two mechanics working on it, the starter was still dragging, not engaging properly.

So, nearing the end of the day, in comes the big boss, Mr. Frank Blonda. Now I thinking that I would finally get some results after all this money, $2588.63, that I have paid out! Frank, the owner of this establishment tried working on my truck for about 15 minutes then tells me that he had done all that he could do and that he was not going to replace the fly wheel.

Mr. Frank Blonda refused to honor his work, he would not give me any documentation of the work that they had performed that day. He even refused to give me pull-start so that I could drive my truck to another mechanics. Nick, used his own vehicle to give me a start, to which I am very grateful.

Oh by the way, this last mechanic that I took it to, he fixed it in one day and it's been running like a charm every since.
