Automotive Warrenty GAP Insurance
FOrced to get the GAP Insurance in order to get the car loan, then when the car was totaled out they refused to pay it off!

Cars & Transport

I purchased a 2004 KIA REO, at the time of purchase I had to also purchase the GAP Insurance in order to get the financing for the car, this was to cover if anything ever happened the car balance would be paid off in full. My car was totaled out October 15, we was struck by an elderly man his insurance didn't pay the whole balance, well my attorney and I notfied the GAP and they paid $500.00, so I informed them that it was still a balance, they said they would have to talk to the attorney. He informed me that the GAP would be paying the balance off.

This year I went to refinance my house only to learn that the GAP never paid the rest of the balance off which is hurting my credit score. I have made serveral attempts to get in touch with the GAP they have never returned my calls now I am having to start sending certified letters. They are forcing people to purchase this GAP insurance in order to get a car financed yet the GAP companies are RIPPING people off.
