I purchased a 1999 Subaru Impreza from Shasta Nissan Subaru.in route house, the check-engine light came on. I got the vehicle back instantly. They stated, "It Is your smog program. The air-mass indicator is poor." I stated, "It's illegal to market an automobile in Florida by having an inoperable smog program." They stated, "It Is your problem. We wont repair it." It went home, and quit the light on. A couple weeks later, the clutch went. Based on my technician: "They understood the clutch was poor once they offered you the vehicle." Therefore, it cost me $1,100 to fix a clutch that will have cost them $300 to repair. Today, flash-forward to 5-15-08. I'm visiting my boy in Redding. The vehicle begins stumbling and also the check-engine light was blinking. I (stupidly) required my vehicle to Shasta Nissan Subaru. Their analysis: "it requires a brand new catalytic converter, fresh device cover gaskets, fresh coil, fresh spark plugs and new plug cables. Price— $1,600!!!". I named them back (they offered the concept to my spouse) and after some bargaining, they stated, "Well, you can just substitute the coil, plugs and cables for $478.68". I'd them substitute simply the coil, plugs and cables. I got the Subie to my local technician today. Their judgment: "whatever you had was one poor spark plug." Price: $3 for that plug and $85 for that work, to get a whole of $88. The vehicle didn't require four fresh plugs, didn't require a fresh coil, didn't require four new plug cables. Summary: Never Never Never provide any company to Shasta Nissan Subaru!
