I was dealt a bad card

I'm writing because I feel I was dealt a bad card from Linden Auto Sales at 2417 Linden blvd in Brooklyn New York. Can you help!

I purchased a vehicle from Linden Auto Sales on March 6th. The dealer knew that I was an out-of-state customer and that I would have to register the in Georgia, where I reside. I was told by Sam the dealer the car was clean and had no major problems. Four days after purchase, I saw the check engine light. I tried to get in contact with the dealer by phone with no success. I then went directly to the dealer to get it resolved.

There mechanics managed to get the light from showing up again, and told me that if the light reappeared, it was simply that the fuel cap needed to be replaced. Because I live out of state, I had to drive the vehicle down to Georgia to get it registered. Alone the way driving, the light reappeared. Once I arrived, I changed the cap, but the light did not leave. I went and perform an emissions test and the vehicle failed, inhibiting me from registering the vehicle.

I obtained a full printout of the problems with the vehicle from the inspector. The report states: Transmission Control System Malfunction and Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance or Stuck Off. I tried to contact dealer by phone, again with no success. The only alternative was drive back up to New York to the dealer directly to get the matter resolved.By that time the car had traveled almost 3,000 miles since the date of purchase. The dealer Sam said that I was not covered by lemon Law, even though it was evident that there was a serious problem with the car at the time of purchase. He said there was nothing could be done to help me.
