Consumer Cash Rewards
Cash rewards payout is ripoff

Cars & Transport

We sent an email on 3/10/09 and stated: "I submitted my paperwork correctly for my cash reward in 8. I received a postcard on 9/22/08 stating that the redemption claim was valid and to check periodically on the website with a password. The website states "Current payout date and percentage is provided by written notice to valid claimants and is not available here at this time." Please tell me how else to follow up on the status of my valid claim. It has been six months since receiving your postcard and I have had no response to my previous e-mail inquiry. If you have any interest in customer service, you should at least reply to this message. The lack of contact leads one to question the validity of this entire program and the credibility of the dealership that involved me in such an unprofessional process. I am requesting some sort of progress report, please."

Received an email on 3/13/09, stating: "Valid claim checks for certs issued 4 will be mailed next week".
We received a letter on 3/25/09 with a check for the amount of $788.53.

Moral of the story: The salesperson at Casey Auto Group dupped us into this plan by selling us an additional warrenty plan, which he indicated would increase our reward payout. What we failed to read in the fine print is the following: "... If you validly register and redeem your Certificate, you will receive not less than 15% of the maximum amount of the Certificate." We were sold a Certificate for the face value of $3,800. The amount above is 20.75% of the face amount. Tommorrow, I plan to deposit the check and we will see if it is real or not.
