Rip people off everyday!

Did you know that this towing company adds time to every police tow that is done hourly? Did you know that you don't have to pay them if you car was not towed at the request of the police? Did you know that they refer cars to body shops (sometimes for money)?

I had my car towed by this company... I was involved in an accident on the US60. A guy named Steve called me to see if I wanted the car to go to East Valley Collision. I told him that I wasn't sure and I needed to talk to my insurance company first. He kept talking and telling me that I just needed to send it to the body shop. I told him that I would be coming down to get some of my personal belongings out of the car and make a decision. He told me I was making a huge mistake. When I got down there I felt like I was an inmate at a jail. I could not see them behind the mirrored glass and the bars. A spanish lady helped me at the window and was VERY rude. She told me that I needed to tell them right away what I was planning on doing with the car. I said my insurance would be taking care of it and her response was "yeah i bet they will just like all the other cars that sit here for months".

So i get all of my belongings out of the car, i thought. When i got home i realized that I had left my laptop in the car. I called and of course they were closing so I decided to go the next day. When I showed up my car had been taken to East Valley Collision! So i went there. They said that I had given "Steve" my date of birth to release the car. I NEVER DID! So my insurance company got involved and since we wouldn't use their shop they charged my insurance company like $350 for towing and a $500 transfer fee. Is this legal? I mean Valley Express would have made just as much money if they would have just stored my car until my insurance took care of it. But maybe then "Steve" wouldn't have gotten his palm greased. I have called to speak with the owner "Richard" but have never gotten a returned call from him or his represenative. This is just one more way to show that the towing industry is full of crooks!

I hope they don't do this to another person, cause it is a huge pain!!
