They don't care anything about driver safety

I worked for Genpro Trucking for almost 2 yrs and this was the worst time of my life. This company went through so many drivers mainly because of one person, Jonathan Spencer, the Fleet mgr. This guy has no regards for driver safety and their well being. Just about every load you get you have to run illegal because of Genpro's crazy scheduling. I have ran as much as 20hrs before getting to shutdown. I had a load with 8 stops where i had to leave Atlanta at 3P.M. And my first stop was in Plant City, Fl. At 4A.M. And the next stop was Naples, Fl at 07:30am. Do the math thats over 600miles. Still had 6 more stops coming back north in Florida. Just to make a long story short, I drove a total of 830 miles before i finally got to lay down at about noon that next day. And dispatch wanted be to drive over 100 miles to pick up a back haul and got mad at me when i told them i was tired and was shutting down. This is common at Genpro. They don't like for you to rest at all. I can count on one hand how many full 10 breaks i got to take. Oh yeah by the way they run loose leaf logs so you had to always doctor them up to stay running.

I finally had enough in Feb after i drove down to Florida 8 hrs one way and swapped loads with a driver. I layed down for 4 hrs before heading back and when i arrived back, Jonathan and i got in an argument because he felt i should have just turned around and came straight back. 16 hrs total. How in the hell was i suppose to do that legally. I did alot of illegal driving while with this company because i needed a job. I didn't fell good about it and i had alot of close calls where i was falling asleep at the wheel but i thank god i never hurt anyone or myself. So if you run across this company you had better think twice before signing on with them. Jonathan Spencer will run you in the ground and throw you away like its nothing when you try and stand up to him. I hate to say it but it is a matter of time before one of them tired drivers cause a bad accident because of these illegal practices this company are doing. My recommendation about Genpro Trucking is: run, run, run the other way. You will be screwed if you don't. Thank you.
