Be very careful for too good to be true car sale

Cars & Transport

Found a too good to be true 2006 Toyota Tacoma for 5500.00 on the AutoTrader web site. I bit and emailed to see if this was a fluk or not. Email came back from Julian Durocher explaing stating "The reason why I'm selling it's my divorced settlement..." Ok I bit again. The AutoTrader web site had the truck listed in McLean VA, so I reponded and asked if he could hold it till the weekend and I would make arangments to pick the truck up. The next email I received stated that Julian was in Austin Texas, (RED FLAG). And that the truck was in a shipping yard ready to be shipped. The next lines are from his email "The car makes the object of a divorce settlement sale, that is why the price is low, first come first served, no loans, just cash! 9168361208
You would have to send me your full shipping adress and phone number, and if you do that you can consider it yours. You wil buy under these therms:

- you pay to eBay and they will transfer the funds to me only after you get the car

- you are given a 5 days inspection period to decide if want to keep it or ship it back at my expense

You pay ebay the deposit, they will ship the car, you get within max 3 days, inside the car you get the bill of sale, the title and a car affidavit that you fill up and than get it notarized at a law office for 40 dollars,
depending on your decision in that affidavit ebay will transfer the funds to me or give it back to you and ship the car back to me at my expense. 1st stept is to send your full shipping adress and phone number for ebay to send you an invoice and assist you." Ok I stated getting suspicious with the spelling but hey I have a hard time spelling also. So I sent back another email asking if the 9168361208 was a phone number I could reach him at, The same email came back a cople of hours later (Another Red Flag). Oh I almost forgot the phone number that wa supplied on the AutoTrader web site had been disconnected. (First Red Flag). Ebay (FAKE) finally sent me two emails Firstone "Congratulations! You are successfully enrolled in Vehicle Protection Program!"eBay" " Looked REAL The second
"Overview - Transaction VPP#- 796CD632771 Invoice "eBay" LOOKED EVEN MORE REAL. Ok Now I am excited as a kid in a candy store. So I am going to get the money out of my account. On the way Robert Fischer from Ebay motors calls and tells me what I need to do. He was very pushy (RED FLAG) and hard to understand. Get the money and I go to the MoneyGram outlet.instead of filling out a form as Robert told me that I would have to. I was informed to call on a telephone to MoneyGram (Big Red Flag). So I did, The person on the other end of the phone told me that she really did not want to do this transaction because of previous scams. She was an Angel. So I did not send the money and I went back and contacted Ebay and they assured me that I was in a scam and not to send any money. This was not partof Ebay. I know this was lengthy but I hope it will help someone outhere when considering buying something thatis too good to be true.
