Went there with spouse, she had an 04' chev. Cavalier 2dr coupe as a trade in; we were trying to get into a bigger car cause' we recently had a newborn. Anyways, after the sales guy pushed us to get her grandmother in the store to co-sign and taking my down payment as well; we nagotiated that he'd give us a Mazda6 with low miles that we liked and her grandmother would be a co-buyer.

We ended up taking the car home that day with an outrageous monthly payment of 500/mo that supposedly included full insurance coverage, after reviewing everything more carefully; we found out that the car was sold solely to her grandmother that didn't even speak english and that my spouse would get no credit for making payments; i called and called again but nothing.

So finally, we went back in with some other family members; and I threw a fit threatened to start a senior citizen fraud case against them and only then, they decided to give our car back and break off the deal. What helped us was that we went back in within the first week of signing and insisted on breaking things off because I also had the bank on the phone in which I explained the situation to and once they noticed that the dealer was at fault and that a senior citizen was involved; they took our side.

The finance manager at the dealer couldn't stand me and tried everything to falsly tell us that we couldn't break the contract. At the end, persistence did pay off and don't let them get away with such crimes; they're lucky the city even lets them stay in business.

All dealers are the same, they promise so much and can only do so little; so don't ever trust any sales guy, because only the lying ones and the ones without a heart are the ones that make it in that business! Best way to purchase a vehicle is to save up and pay for it at one shot, that way you can knock the price down because money talks to those people just like any other market in our world!
