Loan Sharks, Terrible Business

I thought that I was the only one that knew about this company. They are a complete rip off. You get no grace period what so ever. When I first bought my vechicle, I was scheduled for payments for twice monthly. On my second payment, I was stiffed by someone who owed me money which was going to make me late for my payment. I was under the impression that I had at least two to three weeks to make the payment, because they caonnot report it to the credit bureau until it has been 30 days or more.

Was I totally wrong. That following week they came and reposessed my vehicle and I had to come up with $1,300 dollars to get my vehicle back. I had only missed one payment of $210.00, and then they added on all of these towing, repo, storage and all these other crappy fees.

Then in 2007 I was in the process of filing for bankruptcy and got a phone call from one of the managers who said that they were going to repo the truck because I had not made any payments. That part was true because I could no longer afford a payment of $420 dollars a month. So she then said that if I agreed to pay $200.00 a month I could keep the truck and I told her yes that would be fine and that I would send the payment on the first of the month.

Within 3 days later I went outside to go to work and my truck was gone. When I called, the lady acted like she had no recollection of what I was talking about and that if I wanted my truck back I would have to pay it off in full. I then told her that she knew I was in the process of filing banckruptcy and that they were not supposed to take my truck, because I was not going to surrender it and I was going to make the payments. She said that since I didn't have a case number from the court yet then they could do it if they wanted to.

I am now still having problems with this company because they were garnishing my check for the remaining portion that they could not sell the vehicle for. I have finished my bankruptcy with another company because the last was a fraud that I will report on also. Southside Financial still garnished my check and they were not supposed to. My lawyer contacted them in December and they told her that they would be giving me my money back and they still have not done so and the number that is listed for them no longer works. So this company still owes me close to $500 dollars.

I strongly advise that no one deal with this company at all. They are frauds and loan sharks who want nothing moer than to take your money, hope you default on one payment and hurry up and repo your vehicle to get even more money out of your pockets.
